JOB TITLE: Residential Aide
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours/wk

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday 11pm-7:30 am

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Roots to Recovery is an intermediate, 24/7 residential treatment facility for men in need of a structured environment to continue building upon their recovery skills. It is a 90‑day maximum intermediate (3.5) residential substance‑abuse treatment program with 14 beds. Clients are referred from intensive treatment programs, emergency‑room staff and/or detox programs. Those with co‑occurring disorders and on methadone maintenance are accepted.
ABOUT THE POSITION: Residential Aide
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains physical environment and program standards to CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO and any other licensing standard.
- Monitors medications of all residents in accordance with the Adult residential medication policy and procedure.
- Effectively utilizes appropriate communication methods/tools to transfer information to other staff regarding the day’s events.
- Teaches and assists all residents in areas of rehab including: nutrition and healthy living, meal preparation, hygiene, laundry, banking and budgeting, and basic home‑care skills.
- Assists/Manages administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor.
- Prepares and facilitates educational and skill‑building groups and one‑to‑one interventions as directed by the treatment plan.
- Collaborates and coordinates care with providers and families as needed.
- Assists residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.
- Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
- Participates in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned.
- Additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Two years’ experience working with a relevant population preferred.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license required with good driving record.

COMPENSATION: $18.38/hr minimum and up commensurate upon experience.
- Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience and adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign‑on incentives. (Please note, for part‑time positions this range would be pro‑rated based on hours worked.)
