Job Summary
The Home Health Administrator – Growth & Operations leads and manages all administrative, operational, and personnel functions of the agency.
This position ensures compliance with Maine DHHS regulations in serviced programs.
The Administrator provides leadership, oversees staff performance, and drives agency growth by recruiting and developing field teams of PSS, CNA, LPN, and RN professionals across Maine.
Key Duties
- Oversee day‑to‑day agency operations and maintain compliance with DHHS rules.
- Recruit, interview, and hire caregivers, CNAs, LPNs, and RNs statewide.
- Develop field supervisors and support county‑based staffing expansion.
- Coordinate onboarding, staff evaluations, and training documentation.
- Implement agency policies and maintain survey readiness.
- Build referral relationships with case managers and healthcare partners.
- Monitor performance improvement and quality assurance activities.
- Report operational updates to the Governing Body.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated Administrator responsible for operations and staff performance per Maine regulations.
- Enforce agency policies, safety, and quality standards.
- Supervise field and office staff, ensuring effective communication and performance oversight.
- Maintain an updated organizational chart and assign qualified alternates during absences.
- Promote agency growth through outreach, community relations, and partnership building.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field preferred
. - Minimum 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health or personal care (required by 10‑144 CMR Ch. 119 §1).
- Knowledge of Maine Care and DHHS licensing standards preferred.
- Strong leadership, recruiting, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in office software and electronic health record systems.
- Must pass background screening and meet Administrator requirements.
Job Conditions
- Full‑time, on‑site leadership position based in Maine.
- Requires occasional travel across counties for recruitment or supervision.
- Some evening or weekend work may be necessary for staffing or compliance needs.
Job Type: Full‑time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
