Part Time Taxi Starter role at Transdev North America

Schedule:

second shift 3 pm to 11 pm, every other weekend and holidays. Compensation: $19.00 per hour. Benefits:
No benefits included.

• Greets each passenger and provides information such as fare costs, average length of time to destination, etc. at curbside at the airport.
• Dispatch taxicabs in response to telephone requests for service or walkup service and provide customers with directions and answers to general questions.
• Maintain operation maps, contact drivers of assigned sector by radio or telephone to relay requests for service, and log calls relayed to each driver and addresses of patrons.
• Facilitate transactions among related parties to include overseeing the transaction type (credit cards, cash, vouchers, and coupons); ensure the proper method of payment is assigned to each customer’s transaction.
• Load and unload luggage and other baggage for the customer.
• Provide wheelchair assistance to customers.
• Ensure compliance with all Airport rules and Transdev’s standard operating procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required
• Two years of customer service or basic office experience preferred
• Proven interpersonal skills dealing with the public required
• Pleasant telephone voice/manner
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills are required
• Ability to interact professionally with internal customers at all levels and work well with diverse groups
• Ability to handle external customer problems and complaints calmly and courteously
• Ability to work various shifts or flexible schedules
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure

• 90% indoors in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities; 10% outdoors in varying conditions
• Stand and walk as required; ability to lift or handle baggage up to 50 lbs.; ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch; corrected hearing and vision to normal range
• Exposure to heavy traffic areas; exposure to dust, vehicle fumes and noise
