PT Caregiver

Overview

Caring Companions has an immediate opening for a caregiver who can work with a Male Client in Windsor Locks. This will be on every Saturday 11am-5pm. This client will need assistance with ADL's, Stand by Assistance, Meal Prep, Companionship and Light Housekeeping. There are no pets in the home.

If you are looking for just supplemental hours, and able to work in Windsor Locks, and have at least 1 year of hands-on experience, we'd love to hear from you!

If you are looking for more hours than one day a week, we can build up your schedule from there with another client, this is a great starting point!

• Valid driver's license or state
• Must have own transportation & valid insurance
• Completion of a twenty-hour training program or 1 year of personal care experience in a home care setting preferred

• Able to stand, kneel, bend at knees, and squat throughout the day
• Ability to safely assist clients in and out of a vehicle and safely lift a wheelchair or walker weighing up to 50lbs into and out of a vehicle
• Physical ability to lift and transfer clients
• Use arms, legs, feet, hands, and fingers to assist clients with performing tasks of daily living
• Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as lifting, light housekeeping, walking, and driving
• Sitting for long periods of time
• Ability to see and hear well (naturally or with correction)
