OverviewThe Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is responsible for performing maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations of Breeze aircraft, including troubleshooting, run-up and taxi procedures, and signing mechanical flight releases. The AMT reports to a Line Maintenance Supervisor and carries out instructions in accordance with FAA regulations and Breeze policy and procedures. As a certified AMT, you play an important role in ensuring the safety of Breeze Team Members and Guests and the airworthiness of our fleet.
Here’swhat you’ll do
- Perform all assigned maintenance duties in accordance with the Breeze General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
- Be responsible and accountable for all work performed.
- Complete all Breeze forms on work assigned and performed.
- Properly handle parts, units, assemblies, and aircraft during repair processes.
- Keep documentation up to date for open discrepancies and completed corrective actions.
- Complete all associated documentation for maintenance work or inspections.
- Submit personal OJT Task Cards on time and accurately.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and operative work area and account for tools at task completion.
- Care for and use tooling and equipment used for aircraft maintenance.
- Notify the Maintenance Supervisor and appropriate Team Members of any condition that could compromise airworthiness.
- Maintain a valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate, or Repairman Certificate, with certificate available for inspection by FAA, NTSB, or Breeze.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Maintenance Leadership, MOC, and/or DOM.
- Achieve performance measures and adhere to Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence.
- Must hold a current, valid FAA A&P License with no history of infractions and recent experience on commercial aircraft types.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid passport with no travel restrictions.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Must be able to travel unrestricted to and from the United States; willing to travel 20% of the time.
- Willing to work all shifts to support a 24/7 operation.
- Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and TSA/ Breeze background checks.
- Understanding and working knowledge of FAA regulations including FAR part 121 operations.
- Experience maintaining Embraer E-Jet and/or Airbus A220 family aircraft.
- Familiar with airline Maintenance Information System (MIS) such as TRAX.
- Degree in Aerospace, Aviation Maintenance or Business (preferred).
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Fluent in English.
- Safety-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels.
