Forge Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee construction projects and day-to-day site operations.

Position Overview

The Site Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating trades, supervising site activities, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed according to drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong construction knowledge, communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple site activities effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise subcontractors, trades, labourers, and daily site activities
  • Coordinate schedules, materials, equipment, and site resources
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project scope
  • Monitor project progress, quality, productivity, and timelines
  • Ensure work is completed according to specifications and applicable codes
  • Conduct daily health and safety talks and maintain site safety standards
  • Identify and report site conflicts, delays, incidents, and changes
  • Prepare daily progress reports and maintain site documentation
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly managed and secured
  • Help maintain project schedules and minimize unnecessary costs or delays
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of construction experience
  • Previous experience as a Site Superintendent, Site Supervisor, Project Supervisor, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, and specifications
  • Experience supervising trades and subcontractors
  • Knowledge of construction safety requirements and building codes
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on construction environment
