Be a part of River Street School in Windsor, CT as a Special Education Teacher this summer. This temporary role emphasizes IEP management and student assessment.
The position will run from July 1 to August 11, 2026, focusing on K-12 special education. You will manage individual student IEPs, oversee classroom activities, and communicate with parents about progress. Collaboration with other service staff is essential, and personal care assistance for students may be necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of IEPs
• Assess and report on student performance
• Work collaboratively with related service staff
• Supervise support staff during classroom instruction
• Provide assistance with personal care based on student needs
Requirements:
• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree
• Current CT DOE certification in Special Education preferred
• Must pass background checks
• Committed to a minimum of 3-week availability
• Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks
