CAPITOL REGION EDUCATION COUNCIL is hiring a Para educator to contribute to classroom dynamics under the guidance of special education teachers. This position involves working closely with up to 21 students, utilizing various instructional approaches, including Applied Behavior Analysis, to enhance learning and skill acquisition. You'll work in a collaborative environment with other specialists like Behavior Analysts and Speech Language Pathologists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with instructional material preparations

• Implement safety and behavior management plans

• Use mealtime and activities for educational purposes

• Accompany students during outings, providing support

• Enforce on-task behavior and safety procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma

• Display strong interest in special education

• Effective communication with students and staff

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

• Capability to lift 25+ pounds and engage physically
