Part-Time English Tutor Beginners

Position: Part-Time English Tutor for Beginners
Location: Amherstburg

Join Language Trainers as a part-time ESOL tutor focused on beginner English learners in St. Thomas, Ontario. Support Spanish-speaking adults in achieving language fluency in a flexible, engaging format.

In this role, you will conduct 15 two-hour sessions at students’ locations, assisting them in basic English skills vital for workplace integration. Candidates should have a passion for teaching and must be able to deliver effective lessons twice a week on Wednesdays and Thursdays. A teaching qualification is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct beginner adult students in English

• Create engaging lesson plans tailored to student needs

• Monitor student progress and adjust techniques

• Foster a positive learning environment

• Assist students in their language journeys

Requirements:

• Native English speaker or relevant qualification

• Teaching experience, translation, or interpretation preferred

• Valid work permit or visa

• Must live within 30 km of St. Thomas

• Flexibility for scheduling as needed
