This position offers an opportunity to support up to 20 newcomers through structured language classes. You will deliver lessons focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing while adhering to the Canadian Language Benchmarks. Engage in planning community-oriented activities that enrich language learning experiences and promote cultural integration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a YMCA ambassador in daily interactions
• Follow curriculum guidelines in lesson preparations
• Submit monthly reports on class activities
• Observe and assess student performance regularly
• Collaborate in staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements:
• Must hold a university degree
• Valid TESL Ontario certification preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• Experience with online conferencing tools is essential
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening mandatory
