The Greater Essex County District School Board invites applications from interested, qualified candidates for the position of International Languages Instructor
- Mandarin. International Languages Instructor will instruct classes on Saturday mornings at a school site(s). Classes begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 12:00 noon commencing October 3, 2026.

Instructing students to learn the language.
Term of appointmentOctober 2026 to May 15, 2027. This position is a 25 week assignment, extendable on an annual basis by agreement between both employer and employee.
Salary$40.06 per hour (including pay for Vacation and Statutory Holidays) in accordance with the OSSTF Continuing Education Instructors Collective Agreement.
Nature & Scope Of Position- Demonstrate strong collaborative, presentation, written and oral communication skills to support the delivery of the program.
- Demonstrate a commitment to and documented success in working to create a fair, inclusive, antiracist environment for all stakeholders, and to supporting diverse constituencies and populations.
- Assist with the promotion of the International Languages Program.
- Experience working with youth and adult students would be considered an asset.
- Current police clearance with a Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
- Proficiency in computer skills such as but not limited to:
Word, Excel or other database software. - Proficiency and fluency in reading, speaking, and writing in the international language of Mandarin.
- Legally allowed to work in Canada, over the age of 18.
- An interest and passion about languages.
- Classroom experience considered an asset.
- Effective organization, communication skills, and respect within the classroom environment.
