Next Star Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled a motivated and detail-oriented Equipment Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the schedule of equipment installation and Fab in/out with OEM workers. This role requires a strong understanding of the overall management of equipment installation activities.
Responsibilities
Responsible for planning and managing equipment setup and modification schedules. Prepare documentation and coordinate all cross-functional activities (Buy-off) required for handover to the UT team after equipment setup completion.
Budget control and progress payment processing.
Prepare documentation and manage schedules related to equipment move-in and move-out activities.
Manage and oversee safety compliance for OEM personnel on site.
Perform TBM (Team Briefing Meeting) with relevant departments and OEMs prior to commencing work.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant internally from team members to Senior Leadership as required.
Ability to handle and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
Compliant with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations and 3R5S standards.
Strong ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Construction, and Vendors.
Effective problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in equipment installation or project execution.
Hands-on experience in installation of environmental / utility equipment.
Basic knowledge of HVAC piping systems.
Experience managing equipment installation and setup schedules.
Fundamental understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
Understanding of budget control and procurement / purchasing processes.
Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and Korean (written and verbal).
Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Willing and able to work overtime, sometimes on short notice.
Preferred Requirements
Experience with equipment installation projects in semiconductor, display, battery, or industrial plant environments.
Experience with cleanroom or process utility systems.
Experience managing contractors and external vendors.
Background in project management or related training.
Familiarity with Canadian / North American construction and utility codes.
Data analytics capabilities.
Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Electrical/mechanical-related certificate or domain knowledge.
