Next Star Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada’s first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant that has begun production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

Module Equipment Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment performance through preventive maintenance, downtime analysis, and process optimization. This role involves working with technicians, supporting root‑cause analysis, and implementing improvement plans.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment management through PM Planning, Technician Work orders, execution success rate and optimization of PM Items.
Perform OEE BM Equipment improvement by performing root cause analysis and solving issues of equipment failures and implementing preventive plans and request and execute improvement.
Manage line balance through equipment T time monitoring and derivation of improvement for neck process and unit and Capa management improvement per process and per line.
EMS management: diagnosing, management for BM, PM and spare parts.
Responsible for expansion of equipment and dissemination/application of new technologies for equipment.
Establishing, revising, updating PFD, PD Manuals and equipment standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
Knowledge of motion control, servo drives, motors, YASKAWA robots and Siemens PLC.
Experience in a manufacturing/production setting, preferably in battery manufacturing.
Compliance with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations and 3R5S standards.
Preferred Requirements
Understanding of PLC logic.
Troubleshooting abilities.
Data analytics capabilities.
Ability to create and manage schedules.
