Design and Release Engineer - Plastics Focus

Become a Design & Release Engineer in the automotive industry, specializing in plastic components such as fascias, bumpers, and grills. This hybrid position involves overseeing product design from conception through to manufacturing.

You will be responsible for validating designs with CAE resources and ensuring that all components meet rigorous quality standards through extensive testing. Proficiency in Unigraphics NX, CATIA, and documentation management is essential. Candidates need to possess strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee design development from concept to manufacturing

• Establish key project timelines and milestones

• Lead design efforts using CAD tools

• Validate virtual designs and manage release documentation

• Support on-site vehicle pilot builds and launches

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering

• 3+ years of experience in design & release of plastics

• Strong knowledge of Unigraphics NX and CATIA

• Excellent PC and MS Office capabilities

• Familiarity with DFMEA and DVP&R
