What You'll Be Doing
The Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining advanced CAD parametric models using Knowledge Based Engineering methodologies. This role focuses on creating scalable template-driven modeling solutions that support complex vehicle systems and engineering efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Develop CAD parametric math models using CATIA and/or NX
Create and maintain KBE template models for automotive commodities and systems
Define modeling architecture, construction methods, and best practices
Develop master packaging, requirement, and development sections
Support complex vehicle system packaging and integration activities
Establish and maintain master template modeling structures
Train and mentor CAD engineers on KBE methodologies, architecture, and modeling techniques
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to drive standardization and design efficiency
What You'll Need to Be Successful
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
Extensive experience with CATIA and/or NX parametric modeling
Strong background in Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) methodologies
Experience developing and packaging complex automotive vehicle systems
Body Engineering experience required
Strong understanding of CAD architecture, template development, and modeling standards
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Additional Information
Preference is for candidates who can work onsite at ARDC and support activities at CTC as needed
In-office presence is strongly preferred for this position
