Development Engineer

Position: City Development Engineer
Drive infra innovation as a Development Engineer with the City of Windsor. Focus on project management and technical expertise to facilitate new developments in a temporary full-time role.

The Development Engineer will oversee critical infrastructure projects for the City of Windsor, ensuring technical designs meet municipal requirements. Applicants are expected to have either a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering with relevant experience. This role involves protecting city assets while managing land development applications and overseeing compliance with construction standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define municipal infrastructure requirements for developments

• Provide oversight on land development applications

• Approve construction documents for projects

• Ensure compliance with City standards and policies

• Address inquiries from residents and city officials

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree or University Degree in Engineering

• Four to six years of relevant experience in engineering

• P.Eng licensure from Professional Engineers of Ontario

• Knowledge of safety regulations in construction

• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
