Nortera is looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Engineering Intern to join our team. This is a summer internship reporting to the Project Engineer, the Engineering Intern will gain hands‑on exposure to the planning, design, and construction phases of infrastructure manufacturing and processing projects.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs and completing progress reports
Perform simple structural design calculations and computer data entry
Complete other engineering/administrative duties as required
Other duties as may be assigned
KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google applications
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Self‑motivated with a strong willingness to learn and take initiative
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and take direction
Education and experience in progress toward earning a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
Standing, sitting, walking, hand/eye coordination, finger/wrist dexterity, grasping/pinching
Typical office environment working with computers
Walkthroughs in operations
Hourly wage is $24.00 - $26.00/hour.
Qualifications
Education
Required:
High School or better.
Preferred:
Bachelors or better.
Experience
Less than 1 year:
Experience in progress toward earning a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
