KBE Engineer Body Closures

Responsibilities   Creating CAD (Catia/NX) parametric math models for commodities using Knowledge Based Engineering template modeling techniques
Dictating architecture and construction techniques
Creating master development / packaging / requirement sections
Defining master template modeling structures
Training other Catia/NX engineers on modeling techniques, architecture
Utilizing and updating parameters and standards specific to upper body shells and closures: doors, hoods, fenders, liftgates and overall upper body system
Focusing on machine/metal design engineering and body structures
Understanding Design to Manufacturing best practices and guidelines
Conducting competitive benchmarking studies
Creating and maintaining KBE design and analysis templates / requirements as standards change
Leveraging associative parametric modeling, CAD modeling and NX design templates automation capability
Required

Skills & Qualifications   Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university (Mechanical)
5+ Years of CAD modeling with Siemens NX
5+ Years of robust modeling with Siemens NX
5+ Years of parametric CAD modeling with Siemens NX
5+ Years of NX Product Template Studio and template creation experience for process automation
5+ Years of hands‑on experience and understanding of automotive upper body shells and closures: doors, hoods, fenders, liftgates and overall upper body system
Extensive knowledge of Catia/NX modeling and a background developing, packaging and synthesizing complex vehicle systems
Ability to understand and react to multidisciplinary engineering fields
Strong English speaking/writing skills
Strong engineering design project presentation skills required
Compensation & Benefits  $39.00/hour – $41.50/hour (depending on experience)
Paid benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of‑country coverage, dental, etc.
Pension eligibility with employer match after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)

Eligibility and Logistics  Hybrid with likelihood of being onsite 100% in Windsor, Ontario. Must be willing and able to travel to the USA without restrictions, effective on the start date. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
