HRYCAY Consulting Engineers Inc. (HCEI), a leading Canadian forensic engineering firm providing accident investigation and analysis services for over 30 years in Canada and the United States, is seeking a Support Engineer to work out of our Windsor office.
Requirements & Desired Qualifications Must be eligible to work in Canada and the USA
Willing to relocate within 40 minutes of Windsor, ON
Must possess a valid Canadian passport or Government Issued Landed Immigrant Card and driver’s license with no travel restrictions
Ability to travel freely (including, but not limited to, renting cars and travelling on commercial flights)
Must have completed post‑secondary education in the field of Mechanical Engineering
Computer proficiency with Auto Cad, Rhino (2D & 3D software), MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
Able to work in hot and cold conditions
Able to work individually or as part of a team
Hands on mechanically inclined individual
Duties and Responsibilities Travel to various locations in Canada and throughout the USA to complete vehicle and site inspections
Complete vehicle and site drawings using CAD software to create analysis figures
Compile data for clients including letters, drawings, engine download data, photo albums and analysis memos
Complete engineering analysis and calculations as required
Analyze and download Airbag Control Modules (ACM) from passenger vehicles, Engine Control Units (ECU) from heavy vehicles
Compile information to complete files
Complete engineering calculations as required
Complete site surveys using a Total Station Survey and 3D scanner
Knowledge of heavy commercial and/or automotive mechanical systems with emphasis on braking systems and/or on‑board computer diagnostic components
Complete further training to advance in the field of forensic automotive accident reconstruction
Use of various design and engineering tools such as Cyclone, Faro, Leica 3D scanner, Total Station, AutoCAD, Cyclone, Scene, and Rhino
