Elevate your engineering career as a Controls Engineer specializing in BIW at a leading automotive firm. You’ll program PLC systems and integrate robotics while optimizing production efficiency.
We are seeking a qualified Controls Engineer with a focus on Body-in-White (BIW) applications. This role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience in programming PLCs like Allen-Bradley and Siemens, alongside strong industrial robotics skills. You'll directly contribute to production launches and work on troubleshooting and optimizing body shop equipment and robotic cells.
Key Responsibilities:
• Program and troubleshoot PLC systems effectively
• Integrate industrial robots for BIW applications
• Commission and debug robotic cells and body shop equipment
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
• Support production improvement initiatives for efficiency
Requirements:
• 2+ years of BIW experience in automotive
• Proficient with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs
• Experience in robotic welding, especially spot welding
• Strong troubleshooting in body shop environments
• Willing to travel extensively across North America
