Become a Traffic Safety Technician with the City of Windsor, dedicated to implementing effective road safety measures. Utilize data analysis for community-driven improvements and support Vision Zero objectives.
As a key player in promoting road safety, this full-time position needs a minimum of three years in traffic engineering. Responsibilities include analyzing traffic data, investigating safety concerns, and preparing technical reports. Understanding Vision Zero principles and being proficient with Traffic Engineering Software will help you succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and monitor Vision Zero initiatives
• Investigate traffic safety concerns and recommend solutions
• Collect and maintain traffic collision data
• Conduct safety site visits for hazard assessments
• Coordinate with internal departments and stakeholders
Requirements:
• Community College diploma in a related field
• Three or more years in traffic engineering
• Class 'G' Driver's Licence required
• Familiarity with Ontario Traffic Manuals
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
