Municipal Environmental Assessment Supervisor

Location: Belle River

Become the Municipal Environmental Assessment Supervisor with Lakeshore. This temp position concentrates on directing environmental assessments and related municipal engineering projects for up to 5 years.

Under the direction of the Manager of Engineering and Infrastructure, the Supervisor will facilitate a wide range of assessments, from soil management to shoreline studies. An engineering degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience are crucial, along with strong project management and analytical skills. This role also requires effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Environmental Assessment projects per government regulations

• Supervise consultants and liaise with community members

• Conduct public and Indigenous engagement initiatives

• Oversee environmental permit applications

• Draft and submit monitoring and assessment reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

• 5+ years of progressive civil/environmental engineering experience

• Eligibility for Professional Engineer licensure in Ontario

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license
