Junior Environmental Engineer​/Scientist; Air​/Noise

We are currently seeking a Junior Environmental Engineer/Scientist (Air/Noise) to join our Atmospheric Services team. Our team specializes in the atmospheric and acoustic solutions that safeguard both project compliance and community well-being. This is a new position and is based out of any of the following Ontario offices;
Downtown Toronto, North York, Oakville, Guelph, Kitchener or Windsor. We offer flexible work hours and hybrid work arrangement options to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.

• Support with air dispersion modelling and Emission Summary and Dispersion Modelling (ESDM) reports
• Assist with acoustics, noise, and vibration modelling and technical assessments
• Contribute to air quality and acoustic impact assessments as part of federal, provincial or municipal environmental assessment projects and regulatory reporting programs
• Develop and implement environmental scopes of work and proposals
• Coordinate with laboratories, clients, subcontractors, third-party stakeholders
• Compile and analyze data, and assist in supporting environmental reports, including: data tables, field observation documentation, GIS/CAD, etc.
• Assist in report writing and preparation of technical memos, letters, reports, spreadsheets and figures
• Assist to project managers and other team members, including geoscientists, biologists, engineers, planners, and environmental scientists
• We empower our teams to automate the routine so they can focus on high-value, creative problem-solving. You will be encouraged to experiment with AI-enabled tools to push the boundaries of traditional design.

• A degree in environmental engineering, or another relevant environmental science/engineering discipline
• 0-3 years of experience, with experience in environmental consulting being an asset
• Strong work ethic with willingness to conduct field work
• Valid Driver’s License

• Knowledge in several of: air and noise modelling and monitoring, field procedures, basic chemistry, contracting/construction, site characterization, waste management, landfill design, health and safety will be considered an asset
• Experience working in industrial/manufacturing facilities and around heavy equipment, including drill rigs and excavators, will be considered an asset
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
• Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated abilities to work in multidisciplinary team and independently
