Manage the Great Lakes Regional Office as its Director, focused on environmental and technical program oversight. This role includes extensive stakeholder engagement and effective resource management within a binational context.
In this term position, you will oversee staff, budget development, and operational strategy. You’ll ensure compliance with laws and serve as the senior contact for engagement with governments and stakeholders. Your leadership will be integral in supporting the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Directly manage scientific and technical office activities
• Create and manage financial budgets for the office
• Liaise with governments and stakeholders effectively
• Ensure adherence to US and Canadian regulations
• Support the mission of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement
Requirements:
• Degree in environmental sciences or a similar field
• Significant management experience in regional offices
• Expertise advising on water-related policy matters
• Proven collaboration with government and non-profit sectors
• Availability for travel across Canada and the US
