In the Personal Support Worker (PSW) position at Extendicare, you will collaborate with a team dedicated to enhancing residents' quality of life.
Your role involves assisting with mobility, grooming, and personal care while encouraging participation in engaging activities. You will also provide essential emotional support to residents and their families throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
• Help residents with bathing, feeding, and mobility needs
• Encourage engagement in various activities and programs
• Provide social and emotional support to residents
• Maintain professionalism and respect in all interactions
• Document resident care accurately and promptly
Requirements:
• Must have valid PSW certification
• Able to perform physical duties involving bending and lifting
• Compassionate and respectful toward residents
• Proficient in English communication
• Experience in a caregiving role is beneficial
