Laundry Aide

Support residents by managing laundry duties at Age Care, bringing a person-centered approach while maintaining high standards. This role is crucial for providing comfortable living environments in long-term care.

Age Care is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to maintain laundry services within our residents' homes. You will oversee sorting, laundering, and returning garments, ensuring each is identifiable and well-cared for. Your daily tasks will involve operating machines and maintaining a clean workspace to enhance resident well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and separate clothing for laundering

• Operate washers, dryers, and irons efficiently

• Fold, hang, and mend garments as needed

• Transport laundered items to designated areas

• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry environment

Requirements:

• Previous laundry experience preferred

• Understand basic laundry techniques and practices

• Minimum public school education required

• Able to read, write, and follow instructions

• Grade 12 Diploma preferred
