This is a full time position based onsite at our Windsor outpatient centre offering you the opportunity to improve your work/life balance with no weekend or late evening working. We are a rapid access service offering you more time to care for your patients.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious Nuclear Medicine professional who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role. You'll lead a highly specialised PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic CT service while helping shape the continued growth of our Theranostics programme, including innovative treatments such as Lu-PSMA and Radium-223.
The RoleAs the Lead Nuclear Medicine Radiographer, you'll be responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership and management of our PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic CT department, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, clinical governance and operational excellence. Working closely with the Centre Leader, Head of Theranostics and Imaging and a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing services, implementing new technologies and supporting the continued expansion of our Theranostics offering.
You'll also lead and develop a team of Senior PET/CT Radiographers, creating a positive, high‑performing culture where people can thrive.
- Lead the daily operation of the PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic CT department.
- Coordinate the safe and effective delivery of Theranostic treatments, including Lu-PSMA and Radium-223.
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Senior PET/CT Radiographers through coaching, performance reviews and ongoing professional development.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, physicists, pharmacists, nurses and wider clinical teams to deliver outstanding patient care.
- Support service development, introducing new clinical pathways and expanding diagnostic and Theranostic services.
- Maintain compliance with HCPC, IR(ME)
R, IRR, ARSAC, CQC and Health & Safety standards. - Support clinical research and imaging requirements for clinical trials.
- Champion quality improvement, governance and radiation safety across the department.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to continually enhance service delivery.
- BSc (Hons) in Radiography.
- 5+ years Nuclear Medicine experience.
- HCPC registration.
- MSc in Nuclear Medicine (or equivalent).
- At least five years’ post‑qualification experience with progressive clinical development.
- Extensive experience across PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine and Theranostics.
- Excellent knowledge of radiation protection legislation, governance and quality assurance.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for delivering exceptional patient‑centred care.
