This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist working 60% of the time. You will assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, and educate families to foster functional independence. Collaboration with community agencies and interprofessional care planning is essential, along with maintaining high professional standards and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review patient referrals for appropriateness and urgency
• Plan and prioritize care based on patient needs
• Conduct assessments and provide treatment recommendations
• Establish collaborative treatment goals with patients
• Facilitate discharge planning and interprofessional meetings
Requirements:
• Eligible for Ontario College of Occupational Therapists membership
• Active license to practice in Ontario
• Preferred experience in acute care settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate motivation
