Senior Buyer

Position: Senior Buyer for Gates Corporation

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll be tasked with optimizing supplier relationships and managing purchasing decisions that impact the company’s bottom line. You'll take charge of launching new programs, negotiate for the best pricing, and ensure timely delivery of parts by adhering to corporate directives and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and negotiate commodity buying through RFQs

• Drive capital purchases and supplier development

• Support new program launches with design reviews

• Process quarterly adjustments to purchase orders

• Maintain compliance with supplier certifications

Requirements:

• Preferred degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing

• Minimum four years of purchasing experience

• Familiarity with automotive purchasing processes

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with ERP systems like Oracle needed
