Position
CLEANER – Windsor Central School District, 8 Hours/Day - 261 Days/Year
Job Description
Performs routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, polishing, vacuuming, dusting, and removing refuse.
Replenishes building lavatory and miscellaneous supplies.
Performs routine minor mechanical work such as replacing fluorescent lights and maintaining cleaning equipment.
Performs routine maintenance tasks such as painting, furniture repair, plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs, operation, and maintenance of boiler equipment, and roof patching.
Completes miscellaneous outside grounds work including mowing, raking, snow removal, and cleanup.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Graduate or equivalency preferred.
Ability to read and write English, understand simple directions and assignments.
Mechanical aptitude, working knowledge and experience in building maintenance and cleaning work preferred.
Good physical condition.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay starts at $17.00/hr.
Eligible for the NYS State and Local Retirement System.
