Hospital Maintenance Mechanic

Excel as a Maintenance Mechanic at Windsor Regional Hospital, responsible for operating essential equipment for patient care. This role encompasses maintaining boilers, compressors, and chillers to ensure a comfortable environment.

Reporting to the Manager of Facilities, you will operate and maintain critical mechanical systems within the hospital. You’ll comply with the Operating Engineers Act and conduct routine checks, ensuring efficiency. Experience will be gained with on-the-job training to familiarize you with plant layout and specialized equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain compressors, chillers, and boilers

• Complete daily logs and maintain equipment

• Perform minor repairs and adjustments as necessary

• Conduct chemical tests on water hardness

• Respond to maintenance requests from hospital staff

Requirements:

• Valid 4th class certification under Operating Engineers Act

• Up to one month of on-the-job training

• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical repairs

• Ability to maintain clean work areas

• Responsible for preventive maintenance tasks
