Position: Facilities Operator - Community Recreation Role
Location: Amherstburg

The Municipality of Central Elgin is hiring a Facilities Operator to enhance our community recreation facilities. This full-time position combines outdoor maintenance efforts with operational responsibilities in Belmont and Port Stanley.

You will play a key role in maintaining parks, arenas, and public washrooms while ensuring all facilities are safe and user-friendly. Experience in operations, maintenance, and customer service is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards for ice surfaces and recreation buildings

• Oversee the setup and logistics for events

• Collect user fees and ensure proper record-keeping

• Perform regular maintenance on municipal properties

• Ensure safety and security measures are effectively followed

Requirements:

• One to two years of experience in facility operations

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent

• G2 driver’s license required

• Familiarity with ice-making and maintenance equipment is an asset

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
