We are looking for an Operations Supervisor to work in Windsor Ontario. As the Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for the following task. Previous Dispatch experience with Certified Carrier required
Supervise a unionized workforce on daily operational dutiesDaily data collection, analysis and presentation of reportsFinancial reporting on operationsVehicle production upfits for MOPAR and Windsor Assembly PlantErgonomic and Environmental system auditsHealth and safety programsDevelopment of new programs including bid packages and process developmentEngineering support for existing and new programsImplementation of new technologiesCompile presentations and speak in front of large audienceRequirements:Must have a valid driver's license.High School diploma and supervisory experience will be accepted.years' minimum experience in supervisory, plant and manufacturing production experiencePrevious Dispatch experience with Certified Carrier requiredKnowledge of Business and management principles involved with strategic planning, resources allocation, leadership, and coordination of people and resources in the trucking industry.Ability to interface with Plant Production and Dock Personnel Computer skills - ODIMs, CTMS, Omnitracs Knowledge of the Transportation / Logistics industryDemonstrated experience supervising drivers per shift, switch personnel, Dispatchers, Union Steward's Ability to discipline work force through Verbal or Written meansAbility to report Catastrophic events to higher management levels - accidents, injuries, damaged equipment, redirect driver scheduled routes, updated payment coding.Ability to manage operations to avoid Production Loss or plant shutdownExperience with labor agreements and labor controlShifts and times may vary-MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ANY SHIFTFinance background is a plusExperience in conflict resolution and supervising a unionized workforce is an asset.Strong team player with initiative, willing to work both independently and within a teamStrong diagnostics and problem solving skillsStrong communications and organizational skillsFamiliar with process control, optimization and analysis of dataStrong background in PC applications (Excel, Access, Word, Power Point, CATS, PFS, HPIMS, ODIMS, PSAP)Operations are steady days but shift work may be requiredMust possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to United States for meetings.Legally eligible to work in CanadaLI-KB
