CNC Machinist

Overview
Valiant TMS, a global manufacturing leader, is looking for a skilled, reliable and safety-conscious CNC Machinist to join our Valco Manufacturing team. The role involves ensuring that all products meet precise specifications while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.

What You’ll Get To Do

Set up, operate, and maintain the boring mill to ensure accurate and efficient production.

Study drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and the sequence of machining operations using knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and the methodology and procedures of machining.

Verify conformance of the detail to specifications by using measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, micrometres, Vernier, and fixed gauges.

Recognize the functions of the specific controller capabilities and program parameters to load, evaluate and run a specific program.

Input additions, deletions and changes to the machining program as instructed by the CAM department.

Decide and ensure assigned functions can be completed on specific machines.

Machine both custom and production steel fabricated parts.

Shift
Steady afternoon position.

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of proven experience in machining using a Fanuc controller.

Qualifications:

Completed high school diploma or equivalent.

Completed apprentice program and certification in the trade would be a bonus.

Experience and training in the use of cranes, slings, and hoists.

Experience with Heidenheim Controller

Skills:

Ability to read and understand blueprints with attention to detail and basic understanding of GD&T.

Teamwork:
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Work Authorization:
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Compensation
The expected compensation for this position is $24.00 – $34.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skillset, or location.
