Printer  Position Summary

Work Schedule:

12 hour rotating continental shifts (Days and Nights). This position is 100% on-site at the Windsor site.
This position is located in Windsor, Ontario, one of two sites in Canada offering softgel development and manufacturing capabilities for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health industries. We provide a broad range of integrated formulation, manufacturing, analytical and packaging services for full‑service turnkey solutions.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Printer is responsible for operating printing machines to produce soft gel capsules while monitoring and maintaining the quality of the capsules produced.

The Role   Operate printing machines and complete all documentation involving printing operation in accordance with manufacturing directions (Print Master) and standard operating procedures.
Check capsules for quality and record results.
Troubleshoot, connect problems, repair or issue repair requests on printing machines and related equipment as required.
Ensure proper housekeeping, including cleaning printing machines, floors, handling and reporting of scrap, and completing necessary information in equipment logbooks.
Participate in cGMP Self‑Inspection Audits as required.
Assist supervisors in training employees, when qualified employees are requested.
Comply with all SOPs and GMPs.
Perform other duties as required.
The Candidate   High School Diploma, GED/CAEC, and/or educational credential assessment (ECA) is required.
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility is preferred.
Strong mathematical skills to compute simple calculations (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, percent and averages).
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
Good written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of automation systems is an asset.
Position does not qualify for sponsorship.
Non‑Canadian credentials must be evaluated for Canadian equivalency (e.g., WES).
Role frequently involves sitting and using hands and fingers for tasks such as handling, feeling, and keyboard manipulation, requiring manual dexterity.
Occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, with close‑vision capabilities and potential exposure to chemicals.
Pay  The start hourly rate for this position is $24.72 /Hr. The trained hourly rate for this position is $30.90 /Hr. Catalent is a global employer, and this compensation does not reflect positions that work in other countries.
