Skilled Millwright Salt

Join the team at Windsor Salt as a Red Seal Millwright, where you will utilize your mechanical expertise to maintain machinery at the Pugwash Mine in Nova Scotia. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing equipment for optimal performance.

As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic issues while operating various tools. Your experience in a mining or industrial setting will be vital as you manage maintenance tasks effectively across shifts. Ongoing training and a commitment to safety are critical for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems

• Repair motors, pumps, valves, and other equipment

• Utilize hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools

• Receive and interpret oral and written work orders

• Perform tasks on rotating 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday

Requirements:

• Minimum five years in mining or industrial environment

• Proven mechanical skills in schematics and diagnostics

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Dedication to safety and task completion
