CNC Machinist

CES is looking for a skilled and reliable CNC Machinist to join our client! As a CNC Machinist, you will play a key role in producing high-quality parts that meet customer specifications with precision and consistency. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and efficient machining practices. • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining processes using machining principles and shop math.
• Inspect finished parts and verify accuracy using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, Vernier instruments, scales, and gauges.
• Operate CNC controllers by loading, evaluating, and running machining programs based on machine capabilities and parameters.
• Update machining programs with required additions, deletions, and modifications provided by the CAM team.
• Select appropriate machines and manufacture both custom and production steel-fabricated components while ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.

• Minimum 1 year of machining experience, with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program and trade certification is considered an asset.
• Experience operating cranes, slings, hoists, and Heidenhain controllers on boring mill machines is preferred.
• Strong blueprint-reading skills, basic GD&T knowledge, attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment, and legal authorization to work in Canada.
