Join Our Team as a 5-Axis CNC Machinist!

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Valiant TMS, a global industry leader, is looking for a 5 Axis – CNC Machinist to join our talented Tool & Gage team in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. We have an opening for 2 positions on the swing shift. If you are passionate about machining precise components for innovative tools, jigs, fixtures, and gages, this opportunity is for you.

Both challenging and rewarding, this position will require you to collaborate with other skilled machinists and toolmakers to deliver high‑quality results for our customers.

What You’ll Get To Do

Review job packets, engineering drawings, and setup sheets to understand part specifications and production requirements.

Develop and verify CNC machining programs for the Kitamura 5G (5-axis) and Kitamura 5XV (3-axis) machines, ensuring accurate program selection, optimal machining processes, and adherence to quality standards.

Set up machines including installing tooling, fixtures, and work holding devices as required.

Establish and set work offsets, tool offsets, and verify machine readiness prior to production.

Load raw materials into the machine safely and securely.

Perform test runs and dry runs to ensure proper machine operation and program accuracy.

Produce first‑off parts and perform detailed inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.).

Make minor machine adjustments or offsets as needed to ensure parts meet engineering tolerances.

Run production/custom jobs while continuously monitoring machine performance, tool wear, and part quality.

Perform in‑process inspections and maintain quality control standards throughout the production run.

Remove finished parts, perform final inspection checks, and prepare parts for next‑stage processing or shipment.

Maintain accurate production records, inspection reports, and job documentation.

Perform routine machine maintenance including cleaning, coolant checks, lubrication, and chip removal.

Follow all safety procedures, shop rules, and quality system requirements at all times.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and optimise machining processes.

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

5+ years of precision machining experience

Technical

Skills:

Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints

Programming knowledge of Mastercam

Knowledge of G Codes and M Codes

Knowledge of GD&T principles

Strong safety focus

The expected compensation for this position is $29.00 – $34.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skillset, or location.
