Material Handler

Cannon Automotive, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler in our Windsor, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Material Handling experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

Operates equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, handtrucksor dolliesrequiredto move or reorganize storage.
Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplieswhere needed, and staging finished product for final distribution
Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production schedule
Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area
Emptying scrap hoppers
Bin audits (dunnage audits). Verify that bins are in safe working conditions before use.
Retain knowledge of proper packaging and shipping procedures so materials are shipped safely
Maintain equipment by regularly cleaning and inspecting it, repairs reported as needed
Other duties as assigned by the management team
Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following:
Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
Ability to find information, document relevant information, and knowledge of computers
Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
Ability to lift up to 23kg (50lbs)

Preferred Qualifications:

Valid forklift and overhead crane certificates are an asset
1-3 years’ experience in a production environment

The pay range for this role is $20.00/hour to $32.00/hour.
