Grinder Operator; Day Shift

We are seeking a dedicated Grinder Operator to contribute to our core manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and product excellence.

• Operate, set up, and maintain Jig, Surface, and OD/ machines to achieve precise specifications.
• Interpret work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), to plan machining operations effectively.
• Ensure continuous quality by verifying settings, measuring first-run parts, and maintaining meticulous records.
• Champion a safe working environment by strictly adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
• Facilitate smooth transitions between shifts through clear documentation and communication of ongoing needs.
• Contribute to production goals by manufacturing rush machine parts and supporting assembly operations as needed.
• Continuously enhance professional knowledge through educational opportunities and relevant technical publications.
• Maintain a consistently clean and organized workspace.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in grinding operations is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with CNC programming concepts and understanding of GD&T.
• Capable of safely lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain consistent, punctual attendance and perform essential job functions.
• Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with team members and management.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings when production demands require.
