Job Summary Tilray is seeking an Extraction Associate to join our Extraction & Refinement team . In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out daily production ta sks across multiple work centers, including but not limited to: ethanol extraction , butane extraction , crystallization, distillation, encapsulation, dry sift ing , hash pressing, dilutions, and topical s . You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations while maintaining high quality standards .
Successful candidates will have the opportunity for career growth , with potential promotions to Extraction Technician and Senior Extraction Technician following training . W eekend shifts may be required based on production demand .
Shift: 12-hour night shifts, (Week One: Monday
- Wednesday, Week Two: Monday
- Thursday)
Key Resp onsibilities
Work both independently and collaboratively to achieve production goals
Ensur e a safe and productive work environment for all team members
Adher e to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Production Practices ( GPP )Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
Report incidents such as inventory discrepancies, accidents, equipment failures, and non-conformances
Produc e cannabis extract s and derivative products in various work centers
Handle hazardous solvents and materials safely
Track and report inventory of raw materials and consumables
Sampl e products for analytical testing
Perfor m additional tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in science , engineering , engineering technology, or related field
Minimum two years of production experience in a regulated industryS trong mathematical and computational skillsP roficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word Knowledge of chemical unit operations and equipment fundamentals
Botanical extraction experience is considered an asset
Mechanica l aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended durations
Ability to work in classified hazardous areas
