Marketing Manager – Brand, Packaging & Design

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Kingsville, Ontario – On-Site
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Salary:$70,000–$90,000 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package
Travel: Occasional travel may be required, including travel to Pelee Island

Position Summary

The Marketing Manager – Brand, Packaging & Design leads Pelee Island Winery’s brand, marketing, packaging, and creative initiatives. The role is responsible for strengthening the winery’s brands, supporting sales growth, and creating consistent and engaging experiences across retail, hospitality, digital, trade, and consumer channels.

This position combines strategic marketing leadership with hands-on creative execution, with a strong focus on brand development, packaging, graphic design, digital marketing, product launches, and sales support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute annual marketing and brand strategies aligned with company and sales objectives.
  • Manage brand positioning, visual identity, messaging, portfolio development, and brand standards.
  • Lead the design and production of wine labels, cartons, cases, shippers, gift packaging, point-of-sale materials, and promotional assets.
  • Manage packaging projects from concept through artwork approval, regulatory review, printing, and production.
  • Develop and oversee advertising, social media, email marketing, website content, and digital campaigns.
  • Lead product launches and coordinate marketing activities across Sales, Winemaking, Production, Finance, and Operations.
  • Support LCBO, grocery, retail, hospitality, export, and direct-to-consumer sales channels with effective marketing and trade materials.
  • Manage public relations, events, influencer initiatives, tastings, and consumer activations.
  • Manage external agencies, printers, photographers, designers, developers, and other marketing suppliers.
  • Monitor marketing performance, budgets, analytics, and return on investment.
  • Lead and support marketing staff and creative partners while promoting strong cross-functional collaboration.
Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro.
  • Hub Spot CRM and Marketing Hub.
  • Word Press and website content management.
  • Meta, Google, and Microsoft advertising platforms.
  • Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console.
  • Microsoft 365 and project-management platforms such as
  • Packaging design, prepress, print production, colour management, and artwork preparation.
  • SEO, SEM, email marketing, digital advertising, analytics, and A/B testing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Business, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five or more years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within the wine, beverage alcohol, consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, hospitality, or retail industries.
  • Strong experience in brand management, packaging, graphic design, and integrated marketing.
  • Proven experience managing projects from creative concept through production.
  • Strong project-management, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with retailers such as the LCBO, Metro, Loblaw, Sobeys, or similar organizations is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian beverage alcohol industry and regulated retail environment is strongly preferred.
