• Deliver individualized nursing care and administer medications
• Provide emotional and physical support with a resident‑first mindset
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and health screening protocols
• Conduct clinical assessments and review lab results
• Supervise restorative and palliative programs and oversee procedures such as catheterization, tube feedings, and dialysis

• Support and mentor Personal Support Workers
• Address resident, family, and visitor concerns professionally
• Document care electronically and work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and Nurse Leaders
• Comply with Ontario’s Occupational Health & Safety regulations
• Participate in regular training and team meetings

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and RPNAO
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification

• Minimum of six months of nursing experience in long‑term care preferred
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems
• Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills

• Required to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check obtained within the past six (6) months, as required by the Long‑term care home act
• Proof of a negative 2 Step TB test result along with a one‑step negative result from within the last 2 (two) months, as required by the Long‑term care home act

A part‑time employee should be available to work 10 to 15 shifts which may include holidays and weekends. The work schedule is based on resident needs and is governed by Employer policies and CUPE 860 Collective Agreement. Shift schedules are posted at least seven (7) calendar days prior to becoming effective and are not changed once posted unless mutually agreed upon by the Employer and the affected employee.

As a CUPE 860 position, this role is on Band 8 with a starting hourly rate of $33.57 - $36.04
, plus an additional 12% in lieu of benefits as per the collective agreement.
