Become a Registered Practical Nurse at Age Care and provide essential care to residents in long-term care. Collaborate with a professional team focused on health and well-being.
As a vital member of the nursing team, you will deliver quality nursing care in line with established practices while mentoring Personal Support Workers. You'll work alongside healthcare providers to ensure that all residents receive attentive and informed care. Your effective communication with team members is essential for the timely management of resident health changes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide professional nursing services tailored to residents' needs
• Guide and instruct Personal Support Workers on care protocols
• Liaise with medical staff for coordinated resident care
• Report any significant health changes to the physician promptly
• Engage in team reports for effective communication
Requirements:
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care nursing
• Up-to-date Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses
• Knowledge of applicable healthcare laws and regulations
• Proven track record in rehabilitation or personnel management
• Active membership with the College of Nurses of Ontario
