Join Age Care as a Registered Practical Nurse, delivering essential nursing care to residents in a supportive environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals while directly impacting residents' lives.
As an RPN, you will implement Age Care policies alongside the Registered Nurse and provide guidance to Personal Support Workers. Your expertise in geriatric and rehabilitation nursing will be crucial as you liaise with physicians and the healthcare team. You’ll monitor resident status and ensure comprehensive care in line with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement nursing care in accordance with Age Care policies
• Liaise with healthcare professionals and family members
• Notify physicians of significant changes in resident health
• Provide support and direction to Personal Support Workers
• Participate in shift reports to keep the team informed
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses
• Knowledge in long-term care nursing practices
• Understanding of relevant health regulations and acts
• Experience in geriatric or rehabilitation nursing
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
