In this vital nursing role, you will implement Age Care policies while collaborating with Registered Nurses and health care teams to ensure optimal resident care. Your responsibilities include directing Personal Support Workers and communicating effectively with physicians. Keeping track of all resident status changes is key, especially in the absence of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver professional nursing care to residents
• Communicate changes in resident status to physicians
• Guide Personal Support Workers on resident care
• Attend shift reports with health care team members
• Input into procedural revisions within the unit
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
• Knowledge of geriatric and long-term care regulations
• Experience in nursing with focus on rehabilitation
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Must be a member in good standing
