In this role, the Registered Practical Nurse will offer autonomous care based on the College of Nurses’ standards. Candidates must hold a diploma from a recognized nursing program and be registered with the College of Nurses. Previous Operating Room experience is preferred, along with a valid BCLS and Perioperative Certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care according to established nursing standards
• Collaborate with RNs on complex care situations
• Educate patients and families about health practices
• Administer medications and initiate IV therapy
• Participate in process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Diploma in nursing or equivalent with required certifications
• Current registration with the College of Nurses
• Proven organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment
• Basic computer literacy in clinical applications
