Join Age Care as a Registered Practical Nurse, providing essential nursing support and care to our residents.
Your role is pivotal in driving exceptional geriatric care and supervising Personal Support Workers.
As an RPN, you will work alongside the Registered Nurse, leveraging your knowledge of nursing regulations and protocols. Your responsibilities will include liaising with healthcare professionals and actively participating in care assessments. You’ll play a key role in revising procedures that enhance resident care experience, making your efforts significant in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and implement nursing care in collaboration with the RN
• Actively liaise with physicians and healthcare team members
• Guide Personal Support Workers in resident care
• Ensure timely reporting on changes in resident conditions
• Uphold standards of nursing practice and health regulations
Requirements:
• Valid Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses
• Background in long-term care, geriatric nursing, or rehabilitation
• Familiarity with health care regulations and acts
• Proven teamwork and communication skills
• Current membership in good standing with the College of Nurses
