As a Senior SACT Nurse, you will lead the delivery of chemotherapy nursing services, providing essential support to patients and their families.
Your role emphasizes evidence-based care, ensuring each patient receives tailored, comprehensive treatment plans. You'll also engage in advanced practices including managing central venous access and delivering chemotherapy, all while demonstrating exceptional clinical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support patients with specialist chemotherapy advice
• Maintain comprehensive patient care records
• Manage patient caseload with professional expertise
• Collaborate with medical staff and order diagnostic tests
• Run nurse-led clinics and address patient requirements
Requirements:
• Valid NMC Registration and UKONS SACT Passport
• Extensive experience in intravenous drug and chemotherapy administration
• Proven ability to work under pressure and make decisions
• Competency in blood transfusions and biopsies
• Willingness to pursue further oncology qualifications
