Location: Town of Essex
Become a vital part of Extendicare as a part time Registered Practical Nurse at Iler Lodge. Provide compassionate nursing care while ensuring patient-oriented services in accordance with provincial regulations.
As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), your role will report to the Director of Care or Director of Health and Wellness. You will implement goal-directed care, conduct clinical assessments, and support resident care plans. Your strong communication and nursing skills will directly impact our residents’ quality of life in this meaningful position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the interprofessional care team
• Conduct resident assessments and document care plans
• Administer medication and treatment per regulations
• Coordinate care assignments for nursing staff
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid
Requirements:
• Current RPN registration in applicable Province
• Experience in long-term care preferred
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
• Valid Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening
